About BallotBox

BallotBox, Inc. is a Maryland-based civic and political technology company developing public civic-information products, professional political software, civic-data infrastructure, research, responsible AI capabilities, and strategic modernization services.

Website Purpose

This website presents BallotBox’s company mission, platform architecture, products, development status, leadership, trust principles, and opportunities for participation. It supports product discovery, evaluation, communication, development, and organizational planning.

Product & Development Status

Product descriptions reflect controlled-beta capabilities, in-development products, planned platforms, strategic initiatives, and broader platform direction as labeled on the website. Website content does not create a guarantee of availability, pricing, geographic coverage, performance, delivery date, partnership, investment outcome, or future functionality.

Acceptable Use

You may use the website for lawful informational, evaluation, and communication purposes. You may not interfere with website operation, attempt unauthorized access, introduce malicious code, impersonate another person or organization, misrepresent BallotBox content, defeat security controls, or use automated activity in a manner that materially disrupts the service.

Government & Institutional Independence

BallotBox is not a government agency. Website content is not an official government communication and does not replace information published by an authorized election authority, public institution, court, agency, or government office. BallotBox content does not constitute legal, electoral, financial, investment, or professional advice.

Third-Party Technologies, Sources & Links

BallotBox may reference or use third-party technologies, public data sources, standards, infrastructure providers, and external websites. References describe technologies, sources, or frameworks used or considered and do not imply endorsement, certification, agency affiliation, or formal partnership. Third-party services are governed by their own terms and policies.

Intellectual Property

The BallotBox name, marks, designs, text, graphics, interfaces, product concepts, and website content are owned by BallotBox, Inc. or used with permission unless otherwise stated. These terms do not grant a license to reproduce, distribute, modify, commercialize, or create derivative works from protected BallotBox materials.

Forms & Communications

The Contact and MyVoteCounts Beta forms currently validate information within the browser and do not transmit information to BallotBox. Completing a website form does not create a customer, tester, advisory, membership, partnership, investment, employment, or contractual relationship.

No Transactions or Accounts

The corporate website does not currently provide user accounts, authentication, payments, subscriptions, purchases, donations, connected product access, or production service delivery. Separate agreements and policies will govern any future commercial, professional, institutional, or authenticated service.

Accuracy & Updates

BallotBox works to present company and product information clearly, but website content may be updated as development, review, testing, market strategy, law, technology, and operating plans evolve. BallotBox may correct, revise, remove, or reorganize website content without notice.

Disclaimer of Warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the website is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. BallotBox disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and noninfringement. This section does not exclude any warranty that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, BallotBox and its directors, officers, employees, and authorized service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from use of or inability to use the website. This section does not limit liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable law requires otherwise. Any permitted dispute concerning these terms will be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction located in Maryland unless the parties agree otherwise or applicable law requires a different forum.

Changes to These Terms

BallotBox may update these terms as the website, products, services, data practices, or legal requirements change. Continued use after updated terms are published constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by applicable law.
